Present Simple
I, You, We, They - do
Form : He, she, it - does

Positive: Subject + Verb /s,es,ies+ Object


Ex: We study English at private class everyday.
Negative: S+do/does+v1+…………
Ex: We don’t study English at private class everyday.
Question: Do/Does+S+v1+……….?
Ex: Do we study English at private class everyday?
Yes, we do.
No, we don’t
1. The Present Simple Tense is used for an action that happens
again and again, that is a habit or true about the word.

Note:
But there are some change of verbs when they are used with the third person singular (He, She, It).
1. First Case
In the Present Tense some verbs are changed by adding (s) when used with the Third Person singular (He, She, It).

- Work Works
- Sleep Sleeps
- Sing Sings
- Speak Speaks
Examples:
2. Second Case
Verb end in (ss, sh, ch, x and o) are changed by adding
1. My mother works in Thailand.
(es) when used with the third person singular (He, She,
It).
2. He comes here every day.
- Kiss Kisses
3. She plays guitar every morning.
- Wash Washes
- Watch Watches
4. It sleeps every night.
- Box Boxes
- Go ( Goes
5. My father walks to work every day.
Examples:

1. He usually kisses his granddaughter every night.

2. My father washes his care every Sunday.

3. My mother watches T.V every night.


3. Third Case (ករណីទី៣)
Verbs ending with (y) following a vowel are changed by adding
(s) when used
with the third person singular (He, She, It).
- Play Plays
- Stay
- Buy Buys
- Say Says
- Obey Obeys
- Pray Prays
- Pay Pays

Examples:
1. He plays football every evening.

2. Dara always obeys his parents.

3. My mother buys me an orange every day.

4. She always prays for happiness.

5. He pays me every day.

6. He stays with me every day.


Present Perfect

Definition:
The Present Perfect to describe an action, which finished at home time in the past but
we don’t know exactly when (the time is not important).
Present Continuous
Definition:
The Present Continuous Tense is used for an action happening
now (at the moment of speaking) or around now.
