INTRODUCTION:

• A plantation is a large estate that grows


cash crops. Plantations are associated
with the production of coffee, sugarcane,
tobacco, tea and cotton.
DIFFERENT TYPES OF PLANTATION:
1.FARM OR HOME PLANTATION
• Production Of Timber And Fire Wood For Home Use And Some Times For
Sell
• Management May Be Less Intensive Then With Industrial Plantation
• Eg: teak And Bamboo Plantation.
2.ENVIRONMENTAL PLANTATION:
• To established for watershed or soil protection.
• To established for erosion control ,landslide stabilization and
windbreak.
• To foster native species.
• To promote forest regeneration.
INDUSTRIAL PLANTATION
• To produce a high volume of wood in a short period.
IMPORTANCE OF TREE
• Trees reduce the 'Greenhouse' effect by removing
carbon dioxide from the air and releasing oxygen.
• Each year a mature tree produces enough oxygen for
10 people.
• Trees are also an effective sound barrier and can limit
noise pollution. Recent research shows that trees also
help reduce the stress of modern life.
• They also add to the beauty of life.

you can create, for the environment and for yourself.
