This document discusses tree plantation and its importance. It outlines three types of plantations: farm or home plantations for timber and firewood production; environmental plantations for watershed protection and erosion control; and industrial plantations for high-volume wood production. The document also notes that trees reduce carbon dioxide and produce oxygen, act as sound barriers, and help reduce stress. It emphasizes the importance of planting and caring for trees to positively impact the environment and oneself.

TOPIC:TREE PLANTATION SUBMITTED BY:DARSHAN GOWDA L & SANJAY M DEPT:CSE,3RD SEM INTRODUCTION:
• A plantation is a large estate that grows
cash crops. Plantations are associated with the production of coffee, sugarcane, tobacco, tea and cotton. DIFFERENT TYPES OF PLANTATION: 1.FARM OR HOME PLANTATION • Production Of Timber And Fire Wood For Home Use And Some Times For Sell • Management May Be Less Intensive Then With Industrial Plantation • Eg: teak And Bamboo Plantation. 2.ENVIRONMENTAL PLANTATION: • To established for watershed or soil protection. • To established for erosion control ,landslide stabilization and windbreak. • To foster native species. • To promote forest regeneration. INDUSTRIAL PLANTATION • To produce a high volume of wood in a short period. IMPORTANCE OF TREE • Trees reduce the 'Greenhouse' effect by removing carbon dioxide from the air and releasing oxygen. • Each year a mature tree produces enough oxygen for 10 people. • Trees are also an effective sound barrier and can limit noise pollution. Recent research shows that trees also help reduce the stress of modern life. • They also add to the beauty of life. LIFE CYCLE OF TREE FUTURE GENERATION CONCLUSION • Love plants and trees .Respect them . plant them and care for them and see for your self , the positive effect you can create, for the environment and for yourself.
