DONER KEBAB:
Introduced to Germany by a Turkish immigrant who came here between the 1960’s
and 1970’s, the Doner kebab became a popular delicacy in Germany. In 1972, Kadir
Nurman, a street seller, began to offer sandwiches made with Doner kebab at West
Berlin’s Zoo Station.
