QUESTION WORDS

The question words are placed at the beginning of the sentence


and follow the following structures:When the main verb is the verb
to be: When the main verb is not the verb to be: Both the verb to be
in the first case and the auxiliary verb in the second case will
correspond to the tense used (to be: am, is, was...) (auxiliary: do,
did, will...)
The different question words
1.-WHAT? ¿Qué? ¿Cuál?
To request information about the nature or identity of a thing or
object.
WHAT? ¿QUE? ¿CUAL?

- When we want to ask what a person is like physically:

2.-WHEN? ¿CUANDO?
To ask "at what time" or time period an event takes place

3.-WHERE? ¿CUANDO?
To ask "where" the action occurs.

4.-HOW? ¿COMO?

To ask WHY? Why?To request information about the cause or reason for
something.WHY? Why? The answer to Why is always introduced with because.
