What is INTERPOL?

International Criminal
Police Organization is an
international organization
that aims to promote
global law enforcement
cooperation.
Functions:

coordinate international
operations

facilitate the exchange of information

and intelligence
support member countries in combating
transnational crime
How do they operate?
• Interpol's databases, which include information on stolen and lost
travel documents, fingerprints, DNA profiles, and wanted persons, are
accessible to law enforcement agencies worldwide. This allows for
quick identification and tracking of suspects across borders. Interpol
also conducts training programs for law enforcement officers from
different countries to enhance their skills and knowledge in dealing
with transnational crime.
Is our country a member of INTERPOL?

YES
• The only sovereign countries not
members of Interpol are:

• North Korea • Solomon Islands

• Micronesia • Taiwan
• Palau • Tajikistan
• Samoa • Turkmenistan
• San Marino • Tuvalu
• Bhutan • Vatican.
What is its relationship with
GLOBALIZATION?

With globalization, the world has become more

interconnected, and the movement of people, goods, and
services has increased. This has led to an increase in
transnational crime such as terrorism, cybercrime, human
trafficking, drug trafficking, and money laundering. Interpol
helps to address these challenges by providing a global
platform for law enforcement agencies to coordinate their
efforts.
That’s the end of our
report.
Thank you.
