BACKGROUND OF STUDY
SEEING HOW URGENT THE POSITION OF ENGLISH SUBJECTS IN SCHOOLS IS,
ENGLISH SUBJECTS NEED TO "HAVE FANGS" IN REALIZING A GENERATION OF
CHARACTER AND BROAD-MINDEDNESS. ONE OF THEM CAN BE IMPLEMENTED
THROUGH LEARNING INNOVATIONS IN THE FORM OF IMPLEMENTING ENGLISH
LANGUAGE LEARNING BASED ON INFORMATION AND COMMUNICATION
TECHNOLOGY (ICT). THROUGH THIS MODEL, IT IS HOPED THAT ENGLISH SUBJECTS
WILL BE ABLE TO TRANSFORM INTO CONTEMPORARY SUBJECTS THAT ALWAYS
SYNERGIZE WITH THE TIMES.
IDENTIFICATION OF PROBLEMS
1. IS THERE ARE STILL MANY STUDENTS WHO DO NOT UNDERSTAND HOW TO
PRONOUNCE ENGLISH VOCABULARY?

2. IS THERE ANY STUDENTS GET DIFFICULTIES IN PRONOUNCIATION BASIC ENGLISH?

3. THERE ARE HAVE DIFFICULTIES IN LEARNING ENGLISH LANGUAGE ESPECIALLY IN

SCOPE OF PROBLEM
BASED ON THE BACKGROUND AND PROBLEM IDENTIFICATION ABOVE,
RESEARCHERS WILL BE LIMITED TO MEDIA DEVELOPMENT AND THE FEASIBILITY
OF USING THE DUOLINGO APPLICATION LEARNING MEDIA IN ENGLISH FOR
CHILDREN IN THE TITLE. DEVELOPMENT DUOLINGO APLICATION TEACHING MEDIA
IN THE INTRODUCTION OF ENGLISH PRONOUNCIATION. AS MEDIA TO LEARN
ENGLISH PRONOUNCIATION.
FORMULATION OF THE PROBLEM
• THIS RESEARCH AIMS TO CHILDREN USED TO PRACTICE SPEAKING ENGLISH AND
PRONOUNCE THEM SLOWLY AND MAKE LEARNING VOCABULLARY AND
PRONOUNS FUN AND EASY USING AN APPLICATION CALLED DUOLINGO
DEVELOPMENT OF MORE VARIED LEARNING MEDIA IS NEEDED BY STUDENTS IN
ORDER TO MOTIVATE STUDENTS IN LEARNING ENGLISH.

• HELP THE LEARNING PROCESS TO BE MORE EFFECTIVE AND CREATE A LEARNING


ENVIRONMENT THAT IS MORE FUN AND MORE ACTIVE. MAKE CHILDREN MORE
ENJOY TO LEARN ENGLISH LANGUAGE WITH DUOLINGO APLICATION.
RESEARCH PURPOSES
THE PURPOSE OF THIS RESEARCH, THE AIM IS TO HOPE THAT LEARNING MEDIA USING
AN APPLICATION CALLED DUOLINGO IN THE MILLENNIAL ERA AND IN THE MIDST OF
THE PANDEMIC COVID-19 WILL REMAIN AN EASY GOING LEARNING PROCESS AND
EASILY ACCEPTED BY ENGLISH YOUNG LEARNERS INCLUDE:
DEVELOP A PRODUCT IN THE FORM OF DUOLINGO APPLICATION LEARNING MEDIA IN
ENGLISH SUBJECTS WITH THE THEME DEVELOPMENT DUOLINGO APPLICATION
TEACHING MEDIA IN THE INTRODUCTION OF ENGLISH PRONOUNCIATION.
TEST THE FEASIBILITY OF USING DUOLINGO AS A LEARNING MEDIUM FOR ENGLISH

• IN THIS STUDY, RESEARCHERS CONDUCTED RESEARCH AT TBM JOMBANGKALI. THE


ADDRESS IS JL.SASTRADIKARTA NO 11, RT 04 RW 08 JOMBANGKALI, CILEGON, BANTEN
42415. THE TIME FOR RESEARCH WILL BEGIN WHEN A RESEARCH RECOMMENDATION
LETTER ISSUED BY THE DEAN OF THE TARBIYAH AND TEACHER TRAINING FACULTY OF
UIN SULTAN MAULANA HASANUDDIN BANTEN HAS BEEN ISSUED UNTIL IT IS FINISHED.
POPULATION AND RESEARCH SAMPLE

THE POPULATION IN THIS STUDY WERE ALL STUDENTS OF TBM JOMBANGKALI


WHICH CONSISTED OF 40 STUDENTS. WHILE THE SAMPLES IN THIS STUDY WERE
ELEMENTARY SCHOOL CHILDREN. OF THE ENTIRE POPULATION SELECTED USING
THE PRE TEST AND TEST SUMATIF TECHNIQUE THIS RESEARCH MAKE DIRECT
OBSERVATIONS TO THE PLACE OF RESEARCH TO BE. RESEARCHERS ANALYZE THE
CONDITION OF STUDENTS IN THE CLASS AND TO FIND OUT THEIR PROBLEMS AND
DIFFICULTIES IN LEARNING ENGLISH. THE PURPOSE OF THIS OBSERVATION IS
MAKE A MORE EASIER TO LEARN ENGLISH LANGUAGE USING MEDIA DUOLINGO
DATA COLLECTION TECHNIQUES

COLLECTING DATA USING TWO TEST CLASSROOM OBSERVATIONS (PRE TEST AND
TEST SUMATIF) THIS RESEARCH MAKE DIRECT OBSERVATIONS TO THE PLACE OF
RESEARCH TO BE. RESARCHERS ANALYZE THE CONDITION OF STUDENTS IN THE
CLASS AND TO FIND OUT THEIR PROBLEMS AND DIFFICULTIES IN LEARNING
ENGLISH. THE PURPOSE OF THIS OBSERVATION IS MAKE A MORE EASIER TO LEARN
ENGLISH LANGUANGE USING MEDIA DUOLINGO
