Action-Priority Matrix

› It is a simple technique to help you decide and choose which activities/tasks

to prioritize, and which ones you should drop.
› Prioritizing tasks helps you make the most of your time and opportunities.
Steps to Use the Action Priority Matrix
1. Make a list of all the activities you would like to complete.
2. Score all the activities based on their impact such as:
 0 for no impact to 10 for maximum impact.
3. Score all the activities based on their required effort such as:
 0 for no real effort to 10 for a very major effort.
4. Now, plot all of the activities on the Action-Priority Matrix.
5. Next, you can decide to either complete or drop the activities appropriately based
on the matrix.
