Rotate the locks.
All the locks used in a premise can be rotated in a random time interval. This rotation provides security from compromise attempts. If more than one lock is used in one gateway, then rotation should be considered in segments instead all at a time.

Replace password.

In case of digital lock, passwords should be replaced within a specified time interval. Password should contain Numeric, Alphabet, Symbol and should preferably be Case Sensitive.

Reinstate locks without delay.

Gateways, doors, gates once used locks should not be kept without lock at any circumstances unless the requirement of such use is officially lifted. Some spare locks should be always kept to support this requirement. 4/14/12
