The mean height of 45 students of a class is 60” and the mean height of 55 students of another class is 57”. Find the overall mean height of
the 100 students.

• SOLUTION:

Three groups 40, 50 and 10 students have average scores in
mathematics as 60, 40 and 55 respectively. Find average score of all
students.

SOLUTION: = (40)(60) + (50)(40) + (10)(55)

• DATA: 40+50+10
n = 40, n = 50, = 10

X1 = 60, x2 = 40, = 55 100
FORMULA: = 4950
= 100
= 49.5
There are 320 laborers in a large industrial complex working in
different wage grades. The average daily wage is calculated as
Rs. 73.00.. A group of 80- more laborers has been appointed
with average daily wage of Rs.61.00
Find average daily wage of all laborer in the complex.
SOLUTION:
