Medical unit was established in MMC, Mardan in 1998.
Initially as a single medical ward. In 2010 it was split into 2 units, Med. A and Med. B

Our future goals/ Projects:
In the future we are planning the following programs in keeping with standard requirements
for the medical professionals
BLS and ACLS sessions arranged twice a year for trainees and House officers and to make a
team with blue code for early and effective management of critically ill patients requiring
resuscitation in A&E.
Arrangement of academic symposia on regular basis for awareness of general public and
health workers regarding common communicable diseases
Improving and initiating clinical audit for common medical illnesses like stroke, Diabetes,
CKD an PUO
Improving and properly implementing infection control policies in ward with the help of
infection control team of the hospital

Geriatric medicine symposium in
