ISO 22000:2005 - FSMS
Specifies requirements for a food safety management system
where an organization in the food chain needs to demonstrate
its ability to control food safety hazards in order to
ensure that food is safe at the time of human consumption.

HACCP is used as a tool for hazard analysis.

In the United States, food-borne diseases have been estimated


to cause 6 million to 81 million illnesses and up to 9,000 deaths
each year
Generations ago, people were very close to the source of food –
in the 1860’s, 90% of the U.S. population was agrarian 
HACCP
(currently merged with ISO 22000:2005)
Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) is an
internationally recognized system for reducing the risk of safety
hazards in food. A HACCP System requires that potential
hazards are identified and controlled at specific points in
the process.
WHO GMP Compliance
The Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) is a system to
ensure that the products are consistently produced
and controlled according to quality standard by
adopting Good Manufacturing Practices, with
emphasis on

–Mix-up
Organic Certification
• In view of growing demand for organic products to eliminate
the risk of chemicals, pesticides etc. MAPPL developed its
own Organic farms in Rajasthan and Uttarkashi.
• MAPPL also got its facility in Noida certified Organic.
• We have started range of organic products and converted its
conventional products to organic on the demand of
customers.
• Its processing unit and farms complies to NPOP, NOP and EU
requirements.
COSMOS - BDIH
• MAPPL has a range of cosmetic products which includes
soap, shampoos, dental cream and massage and hair oils.
• These were earlier certified under BDIH standards which was
an acceptable standard for natural cosmetics in Europe.
• In the year 2015 BDIH standard was merged with COSMOS
which categorized Cosmetics not only as natural but also
Organic based on the calculated percentages of organic
ingredients.
• COSMOS-certified products are produced to the highest
standards for organic and natural cosmetics, and are safe,
effective and good to use.  They are easy to identify from
their labels which contain all the information you need to
choose if the product fulfills your needs and expectations. 
Ayush Premium Mark
• Ayush Mark is a voluntary scheme floated by the Ministry of
AYUSH.
• Ayush Premium mark is based on WHO GMP guidelines.
• Individual product is marked for certification.
• It ensures high and international quality of products.
GLP
• Based on WHO guidelines & ISO/IEC 17025:2005 .
• To ensure accuracy and correct testing and measurement of
product.
• ISO/IEC 17025:2005 specifies the general requirements for
the competence to carry out tests and/or calibrations,
including sampling. It covers testing and calibration
performed using standard methods, non-standard methods,
and laboratory-developed methods.
ISO 22716:2007 (proposed)
• To ensure GMP in cosmetics COSMOS has proposed to
comply with ISO 22716:2007.
• Though MAPPL has adopted WHO GMP for all its
manufacturing practices including cosmetics yet it has
initiated ISO 22716:2017 to comply with specified GMP
requirement for cosmetic products.
ISO 14000:2015 EMS (proposed)
• MAPPL is committed towards safeguarding the environment
through eliminating or reducing the generated pollutant to
an acceptable limit.
• Though MAPPL acts according to Statutory requirement of
the pollution control board, to further strengthen the
system it has proposed to adopt ISO 14000 standards for
Environment Management System.
