Individual Sports

Individual sports are those sports where

side. Many track and field, cross country, and
swimming events are individual
competitions, where one athlete is solely
responsible for winning or losing. Golf is
another sport where each athlete is on his or
her own.

Swimming and Boxing
Swimming is a sport of propelling oneself

place in pools or open water.
Boxing is a combat sport in which two
people, usually wearing protective gloves,
