Evaluación Sumativa TEMA 3 "CÓMO COMPARTIMOS EL PLANETA"
You are an environmentalist/ecologist and have been given the task of making a proposal for the use of
a piece of land. Each environmentalist will be asked to work with a specific type of soil and certain natural
resources that belong to an entity of the Mexican Republic. Depending on the land you are assigned, you
will have to make a proposal to use this land and make it productive without harming the environment and
taking advantage of the natural resources at hand. You will make your proposal in a model using recycled
materials. You will prepare an exhibition where you will explain your project in English.
Eres un ambientalista/ ecologista y se te ha encomendado la tarea de realizar una propuesta para el uso
de un terreno. A cada ambientalista se le solicitará que trabaje con un tipo de suelo específico y ciertos
recursos naturales que pertenezcan a una entidad de la república mexicana. Dependiendo del terreno que
te toque, deberás hacer una propuesta para darle uso a este terreno y hacerlo productivo sin dañar el
medio ambiente y aprovechando los recursos naturales que tienes a la mano. Deberás hacer tu propuesta
en una maqueta utilizando materiales reciclados. Prepararás una exposición donde explicarás tu proyecto
en inglés.
OBJECTIVE: The student presents a model of a natural area, taking advantage of the area's resources in a
responsible manner.
ROLE: Environmentalist/Ecologist
AUDIENCE: Committee of environmentalists
SITUATION: You must propose a project that generates income by taking advantage of existing natural
resources. You will be asked to do this in a land with a specific type of relief and hydrography of a state of the
Mexican Republic. Within the project you will explain what are the natural resources that the natural area has
and what importance they have for that entity, explain the impact of social inequality in the use of resources
(water) of that same entity or another. They mentioned which endemic animals exist in this region, which
ones are in danger of extinction and how the project protects them, they will also describe the types of
minerals that exist in the assigned natural area.
Finally, you will present your model to a committee of ecologists explaining all the points mentioned above.
PRODUCT: Model
It will be evaluated with a rubric.
OBJETIVO: El alumno presenta una maqueta de un área natural, aprovechando recursos de dicha área de
manera responsable.
ROLE: Ambientalista/Ecologista
AUDIENCIA: Comité de ecologistas
SITUACIÓN: Deberás proponer un proyecto que genere ingresos aprovechando los recursos naturales
existentes. Se te pedirá que esto sea en un terrero con un tipo de relieve e hidrografía específico de un
estado de la república mexicana. Dentro del proyecto explicarás cuales son los recursos naturales con los
que cuenta el área natural y qué importancia tienen para esa entidad, explica el impacto de la desigualdad
social en el aprovechamiento de los recursos (agua) de esa misma entidad u otra. Mencionaron que
animales endémicos existen en esta región, cuáles están en peligro de extinción y cómo el proyecto los
protege, describirán, también, los tipos de minerales que existan en el área natural asignada.
Finalmente, presentarás tu maqueta a un comité de ecologistas exponiendo todos los puntos mencionados
anteriormente.

Será evaluada con una rúbrica.
STANDARD / CRITERIA:
Your mockup or model will be successful if it includes the requirements of the checklist.
1. Mention the name of the assigned region and where it is located in the republic.
2. Identify the type of relief, hydrography and minerals available in that entity.
3. Shows the natural resources that this natural region has.
4. Mention the importance of these resources for that entity.
5. Explain the impact of social inequality in the use of the resources of their entity or another.
6. Mention the endemic animals of that region and which ones are in danger of extinction.
7. Explain how the project supports and cares for these species.
8. Creativity in designing your model using only recycled material.
9. Explain what your project is about, how it is environmentally friendly and how it can be profitable.
10. Your presentation is fluent, shows confidence, appropriate tone of voice and demonstrates preparation.
