WHAT IS COMPUTER

A computer is an electronic device which can perform many

tasks like messaging, calculations, data storage, printing,
etc. 
A is a device that accepts information (in the form of
digitalized data) and manipulates it for some result
based on a program, software, or sequence of
instructions.

A computer is an electronic machine that collects

information, stores it, processes it according to user
instructions, and then returns the result.

 Types of computer

1.Super computer

Fastest and most powerful computer in terms of performance and data

processing.

2.Mainframe computer
Is not powerful as the computer. It is designed to run multiple
programs concurrently.

Mainframes are high-performance computers with large

amounts of memory and processors that process billions of
simple calculations and transactions in real time.
3.Mini Computer

Also known as ‘Midrange’ computer fill the space

between the mainframe and micro computer. It is
smaller than super computer or mainframe computer
but bigger and more powerful than the microcomputer.

4.Microcomputer

The most widely used computer.-desktop, laptops, tablets and smart

phone .It is the cheapest among the different classes of computers.
INPUT DEVICES

Are composed of a device that accepts data and instruction from

the user or from another computer system.

1.Key board – A computer input device use to enter

characters and functions into the computer. System
by pressing buttons, or keys.
Mouse-Mouse is another input used to point and select objects and
the computer monitor. Using the mouse and keyboards in combination
allow the computer.

OUT PUT DEVICE

Is any piece of computer hardware that displays results after the

computer has processed the input data that has been entered.

Monitor –Is an electronic visual display that includes a screen ,circuitry,

and the case.
PRINTER-Is a device to print texts and pictures
