What is a scale ?
A scale is a succession of eight notes bearing letter names in
alphabetical order.

 The distance of 8 notes from middle C to C is called an OCTAVE.

OCTAVE
 A Scale can be written as two ways,
1. Ascending ( upward)
2. Descending (downward)

Ascending Descending
Let’s play C major using correct fingers.
• C Major scale in ascending treble clef.

• C Major scale in ascending using bass clef.
