Introduction
IoT – INTERNET OF THINGS
The Internet of Things (IoT) refers to the network of physical
devices, vehicles, appliances, and other objects that are
embedded with sensors, software, and network connectivity,
allowing them to collect and exchange data.
IoT has the potential to transform the way we live and work, and
its widespread adoption is expected to continue growing in the
coming years.
Statement of the Problem
The problem involves a comprehensive approach to evaluate and
improve indoor air quality in various settings.
Indoor air modeling, on the other hand, is a more detailed and complex
process that uses computer simulations to predict indoor air quality
based on various factors, including building design, ventilation system,
occupant behaviour, and outdoor air quality.
Both IAQ index and indoor air modeling are essential tools for ensuring
healthy and comfortable indoor environments and reducing the risk of
indoor air pollution-related health problems.
Proposed Methodology Of The Project
Indoor Air Quality Index (IAQI) includes
• Integrating the pollutants.
• Gathering the standards.
• Selecting the monitoring Location.
• Installing sensor fusion.
• Calculating, Aggregating, and
Interpreting IAQI.
Indoor Air Modeling includes
• Collecting the data.
• Choosing a modeling tool.
• Building a strong model.
• Simulating Scenarios.
• Analysing results.
• Implementing the improvements.
Hardware and software selection
Sensors
• Winsen ZH07 dust and particulate matter sensor.
• MQ7 – Smoke(CarbonMonoxide)
• MQ2 – LPG
• DGT11 – Temperature & Humidity
• MQ135 – Other harmful gases like NH3, S, C6H6, CO2.. Etc)
All pollutant
• CarbonMonoxide(Smoke)
• LPG
• NH3, S, C6H6, CO2,
• Oxygen Level

Iot platform –ThingSpeak
Expected Results and Implications
1. Integration of sensors with IoT system
2. Collection data and validating data output
through the system
3. Developing an intelligent algorithm to model
the IAQ based on industry standards
4. Testing and validation of the results through
standard test cases
