Stories and themes are a holistic approach to
language learning that emphasizes engaging
children with rich and authentic uses of foreign
languages. Stories offer entire imaginary worlds,
created by language, that children can enter and
enjoy, while learning languages. And also the

We have seen in this presentation some of the
considerations teachers face in selecting and using
stories for language learning. I have suggested that
teachers should critically evaluate the quality and
language learning potential of stories before using
them in the classroom. So that students can continue
to understand the contents of the story
