FOUNDATION OF ELECTRONICS

WHAT IS ELECTRICITY

• Electricity is the flow of electrical power or charge.

• There are two types of electricity:-
• Static Electricity
• Current Electricity
STATIC ELECTRICITY

• Everything in the world is made up of atoms and generally there are an equal no. of protons
are electrons are there
Static electricity is the result of an imbalance between negative (electrons) and
positive (protons) charges in an object
CURRENT ELECTRICITY

• Flow of electrons from negative terminal to positive terminal is called current electricity.
VOLTAGE

Voltage is the pressure from an electrical circuit's power source that pushes
charged electrons (current)
•  In brief, voltage = pressure, and it is measured in volts (V).
• Resistance is a measure of the opposition to current flow in an electrical
circuit. Resistance is measured in ohms.
• Ohm's law states that the current through a conductor is proportional to the
voltage across the conductor. ... V=IR where V is the voltage across the
conductor and I is the current flowing through it.
