BY: NUREEN AMANI BINTI MOHD HILMI (161360)

FARAH NAJWA BINTI YUSRAM(162619)
NURISYA PUTERI BINTI SABRI (160856)
Fateh, Ravi and Lin Yi are three bestfriends. They live in the same rural village. The three of them
became close to each other because they shared the same interest which is playing football. Every
day, they would go to a big field near their house to play football after school finished. Even though
they are from different races and religions, this does not stop them from becoming best friends.
Fateh, Ravi and Lin Yi are so eager for football. The three of them wish to be football players in the
future. Unfortunately, their parents don’t really support their dreams because of their mindsets,
football brings no future. As the result, they would secretly go to watch friendly football matches
between villages behind their parents' backs to observe and learn new football skills.
One day, there is a new sports teacher from the town at their school. The new sports teacher, Encik
Nashmeer recognized these young boys’ talents after watching them playing football during recess time.
He decided to form a football club to train and sharpened the children’s skills in football. Many of the
children in the school applied to be in the team including Fateh, Ravi and Lin Yi.
The football training is scheduled twice a week after the class. “Gosh, I can’t wait to start the training!”
Said Fateh to his friends on their way back home.
During the first training, Encik Nashmeer noticed that some of the students don’t have proper attire
for the training such as football shoes, knee pads and sports attire including Fateh, Ravi and Lin Yi.
“I’m scared to ask my parents to buy this for me”. Said Lin Yi. It turned out that most of their
parents could not afford to provide these basic needs in football because most of them came from
poor background family. Hence, Encik Nashmeer decided to discuss it with the school principal, Puan
Rohana to solve this problem.
After a few weeks, the school principal suddenly came to the field while the students were practicing.
Encik Nashmeer immediately gathered the students in front of the principal. “Ehem, I have great news
for you all children”. Said Puan Rohana while smiling brightly. All the students’ faces lightened up.
“One big sports company contacted me a while ago and they are willing to sponsor this football club.”
Upon hearing the news all the students screamed in happiness. “Yay! I can’t believe I’ll finally have my
own football shoes” Shout a student delightedly.
A few weeks later, Encik Nashmeer announced that their school was going to participate in a friendly
match against other schools. Upon hearing this, Fateh, Ravi and Lin Yi practiced diligently under the
coach of Encik Nashmeer to improve their skills. It is also to prove to their parents that football is
worth their time and that it’s their dream.
“Ouch!” Yelled Fateh in pain. Encik Nashmeer and his friends quickly ran up to him after hearing him
yelling in pain. “My-my leg hurts so much.” He whimpered. Encik Nashmeer quickly brought Fateh to
the hospital and dismissed the practice for the day. Ravi and Lin Yi worriedly followed their teacher
to the hospital.
Unfortunately, Fateh cannot participate in the upcoming match because of his injuries. This makes him
discouraged and disappointed in himself while watching the others practice. “The match is in one
month, I really want to take part in the match. I have practiced so much for that but now look.”
While eyeing his casted leg he sadly expressed it to his best friends. Ravi and Lin Yi both comforted
Fateh calmly to make him feel better. After a while, Fateh finally learned to accept reality and
became a substitute player.
During the day of the match, Fateh sat on the bench and cheered loudly for his friends. The
atmosphere at the field was loud and cheerful. He noticed that the opponent team played roughly and
would intentionally hurt his friends. It was until a scream was heard across the field, one of his team
members fell to the ground while clutching his leg. Encik Nashmeer hurriedly went to his student to
check up on him. The referee gave the opponent team member a red card for purposely hurting
another player.
Seeing this situation, Fateh decided to plead his coach to let him on the field. He insisted that he has
already recovered from the injury. Seeing his persistence, Encik Nashmeer finally gave in. Fateh was
so happy to be on the field again with his two best friends. He skillfully passed the ball to his
teammates near him. They worked cooperatively to tackle the ball from the opponent team.
GOAL! Their school team won against opponent team with the score 2-1. All of them were over the
moon to win their first match ever. The three best friends hugged each other in excitement and
congratulate each other. All of the team members thanked Encik Nashmeer for his never-ending
support and guidance. The presence of Encik Nashmeer has changed the way the parents’ mindsets
about football. He also helped Fateh, Ravi and Lin Yi as well as the other students to be one step
closer to their dreams.
