Objectives:
a. Describe a point, line, and plane.
b. Determine if the given illustration or
object represent a point, a line, or a
plane.
c. Show appreciation on how the three
undefined terms exist and use in real-life.
1. A Point in geometry is a location. It has no size, no
width, no length and no depth. It is shown by a dot. It is
named using an uppercase letter.
e.g. Point A, Point B and Point C or Points A, B, and C

e.g.:
(a) tip of a pen, (b) corner of a box; and (c) stars in the sky
2. A Line consists of points and extends
infinitely in opposite directions. It is named
using 2 points.
e.g.

e.g.:
(a) edge of a book, (b) stretched rope; and (c) strand of hair
3. A Plane is a flat surface which extends infinitely in all
directions. It is named by three points in the plane that
are not on the same line.
e.g. Plane XYZ

e.g.:
a) surface of a table, (b) wall; and (c) sheet of paper
