Involving the Volume of a
Rectangular Prism
A Math teacher handed each of the pupils a rectangular gift box which
measures 2cm by 1cm by 3cm. Then the teacher asks the following
questions.

1. What is the length of the box? 2cm

2. How about the width and the height? 1cm and 3cm
By multiplying the length, width
3. Can you find the volume? How? and height.

4. What is the formula in finding the volume? V=lxwxh

5. What is the volume of the gift box? V = 6cm³

Carlo is making a rectangular sand box for his math project. The box
measures 12cm by 10cm by 16cm. What is the volume of the
rectangular sand box that Carlo made?
