Petrol Prices Likely to Increase by Rs. 4 Per
Litre

 In the third week of November in order to collect more revenue from oil
consumers amid the economic crunch according to the planning of federal
government.

 Petrol and diesel are the two basic products that bring about the heavy revenue.

 Previously, the petroleum charges on petrol and other petroleum products was
increased to raise the revenue receipts however the tax charges by the centre
are kept at a minimum.

Bank of Pakistan).

Sindh Govt to Start Work on Karachi’s Yellow
Line BRT Project

 The Karachi Yellow Line BRT project will be 21 kilometers (km) long and will
include 17.6 km at grade, and 3.2 km underground with a total of 28 stations
across the routes.
 Eight underpasses will be constructed under this project.
 The total cost of the Karachi Yellow Line BRT will be $438.9 million, of which
the World Bank will have a share of $381.9 million, and the Sindh government
will pay $19.5 million.
PTA Starts Biometric Verification of Multiple
Fingers to Avoid SIM Fraud

 PTA Has taken the initiative of ‘multiple-fingers’ biometric verification.


 It will discourage the use of illegal SIM sales.
 The number of 3G and 4G users in Pakistan increased by 0.75 million from
119.84 million in end-August 2022 to 120.59 million by end-September.
 One of the major reasons for the decline in SIM sales in September is the Flood
that caused damage in 3 provinces and affected 1/3rd of the Population

 It is the first locally assembled hybrid electric car in Pakistan.

 Sazgar Engineering has launched the car at an ex-factory price of Rs. 9,749,000.

 It has a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine, which can produce 147 hp and 230 Nm of torque.
No advance tax on Marriage Hall booking

 Lahore High Court (LHC) on Tuesday prohibited the advance tax on wedding hall booking.
 Mohsin Virk, the applicant’s attorney, concluded his argument before the LHC against the
Federal Board of Revenue and the Punjab Revenue Authority (PRA).
 The inclusion of Rs 6,000 in the fixed monthly GST on lawyers’ electricity bills was already
ruled invalid by the Lahore High Court (LHC) Rawalpindi bench.
Billionaire Mukesh Ambani willing to acquire

 Mukesh Ambani-led Reliance Industries is interested in buying the English


football club Liverpool FC.
 Currently, Ambani’s company owns Indian Premier League (IPL) cricket side
Mumbai Indians and also runs the Indian Super League football event besides
being the commercial partner of the All India Football Federation (AIFF).
 Forbes listed Liverpool as the world’s fourth most valuable football club, with a
value of around $4.45 billion (around £3.8 billion).
Dubai to Built World’s Tallest Residential
Skyscraper

 Recently, Binghatti announced a project to embellish the world’s tallest


residential structure in Dubai – Burj Binghatti Jacob & Co Residences.
 No timeline is confirmed yet for the completing the project.
 The presented design consist of more than 100 stories that would comprises of
lavish two and three bedroom residences.
