• The ranch is owned by the Maa Community

• Has a total of 6,172 Registered Members
• Location and Size
• Located in Kuku ward, Kajiado South Sub-County
• Covers an approximate area of 237221.17 acres (96,000 Ha/ 960 Sq/km)

The KUKU B group ranch has been subdivided into 10 categories i.e., Agricultural,
commercial, conservation, educational, open spaces, public purpose, public utility,
Range land, Recreational and settlement.

Agricultural land
Agricultural land has been subdivided into 2 acres each with a total number of 6208
parcels. Its total acreage is 12560.67 Acres

Commercial Land
Commercial land has been divided into various acreages depending on the areas allocated to them. The
total area allocated to the commercial land is 895.995 acres. A list of the specific commercial centers and

Kuku B has four (4) major conservancies and (3) minor conservancies. The minor ones are basically the
steep and inhabitable areas (hills) that could not be subdivided for allocation. The total acreage allocated

PUBLIC PURPOSE
This is land set aside for public facilities such as Churches, Cemetery, Chief’s Camps, Dispensaries,
Police post, Cattle Dips etc. A list of the facilities allocated land is listed below and their specific
acreages. The Total area allocated is 726.8854 Acres.
PUBLIC UTILITY
This is land allocated to services such as Boreholes, Playgrounds/Stadium, Water Pans, Water Kiosks,
Wells etc. A list of such services allocated land in the ranch are listed and demonstrated on the next
file. The total area allocated to the public is approximately 329.6788 Acres.
Range Land
This is land set aside for grazing of livestock. The ranch was subdivided in to 6,237 parcels each
approximately measuring 20.4 Acres. The total area allocated to the range land is approximately
127,506.774 Acres.

Settlement
This is land allocated for purposes of building homesteads. Some of these are already settled on. A total
of 6,383 parcels have been set aside for this. Each parcel measuring approximately 10 acres each. The
total area allocated to the settlement land is 64757.69 Acres approximately.

Roads, Rivers & Riparian Ares


This is land that has been allocated to main roads, access roads, Rivers and Riparian Reserves. The land
covered by the above is approximately 9106.56 Acres.

 Currently we are doing allocations and beaconing of the 10 Acre parcels and as per today, 3200
parcels have been allocated and beaconed.

 In the 3200 parcels allocated, 1400 members have been issued with Title deeds, 800 Title deeds
have been processed and are awaiting picking from the Registry and the remaining 1000 are
under the process of verification in preparation for Title processing.
