LOCATE SPECIFIC
RESOURCES
ELECTRONIC SEARCH ENGINE,
search tool that enables users to easily locate
information on the World Wide Web.
is a service that allows internet users to search for
content via the World Wide Web (WWW). A user
enters keywords or key phrases into a search
engine and receives a list of Web content results in
the form of websites, images, videos or other
online data.

to the public.
OPAC is developed as the electronic version of
card catalog, so it allows searching by any
combination of author, title, and subject format.
Also, OPAC has quality controlled, discipline-
based, and academic contents.

1. Highlight the desired search whether author, title, or
subject. Then, press Enter.
2. If you choose the author, the monitor will give you the
authors. If you choose the title, all the titles will be shown.
If you choose the subject, the subjects which are arranged
alphabetically from a-z will be shown.
3. You may scroll down the search, or the monitor will
direct you to type below the specific name, title, or
subject. After typing, press Enter and the monitor will
flash specific names, titles, or subjects you want.
4. Highlight a particular name, title, or subject among the
different names, titles, or subjects flashed on the monitor,
then press Enter.
5. The monitor will flash the information of the books as
in the card catalog: author, title, publication place and
date, publisher, and call number.
6. Lastly, copy the call number, author, title of the book,
then proceed to the shelf (if it is an open shelf) or give that
information to the librarian (if it is a closed shelf) and the
librarian will look for the book for you.
