CoG modelling

– Model for a fixed wind aircraft fuel consumption:


• Normal 8 hour flight scenario.
• Simulation of fuel transfer among wind and trim tanks during the flight.
• Simulation of CoG motion.
• Simulation of control of trim tank / feet tanks valve opening to improve
the control of CoG position
• Optimisation of trim tank / feed tanks valve control
• Model generalisation to include other flight scenarios.
• Final version and documentation

Conclusions
1. The model is ready to test control protocols
on trim tank to feed tank valve.
2. With the employed flight description there is
no much leeway for the trim/feed tank valve
to control CoG
3. A final version with complete documenta-
tion will be send to Airbus UK in the next
weeks
