WHAT IS PHYSICAL HEALTH ?

Physical health is defined as the condition of your body, taking into consideration everything
from the absence of disease to fitness level.

PHYSICAL HEALTH IS CRITICAL FOR OVERALL WELL-BEING, AND CAN BE AFFECTED BY:

• Lifestyle: diet, level of physical activity, and behaviour (for instance, smoking)

• Human biology: a person’s genetics and physiology may make it easier or harder to achieve
good physical health

• Environment: our surroundings and exposure to factors such as sunlight or toxic substances;

• Healthcare service: good healthcare can help prevent illness, as well as detect and treat illness.

STEPS FOR A GOOD PHYSICAL HEALTH
▪ Maintaining a healthy diet starts with knowing what
foods to put in your body to provide the proper fuel.

▪ Exercising doesn’t mean you have to start training for a


triathlon. You just need to work up a little sweat. Start
slow and work your way up to about 30 to 60 minutes
of exercise five or six days a week. 

▪ To be successful with any lifestyle change, find like-minded


people who have the same motivation. It could be a friend or a
co-worker. Having someone to exercise with, help keep your diet
in check and shares your motivation can help keep you on track. Be

WELLBEING

WHAT IS WELLBEING

In simple terms, well-being can be described as judging life positively and feeling good. For
public health purposes, physical well-being (e.g., feeling very healthy and full of energy) is also
viewed as critical to overall well-being.

FACTORS THAT AFFECT WELLBEING
• happy relationship with a partner
• network of close friends
• enjoyable and fulfilling career
• enough money
• regular exercise
• nutritional diet
• enough sleep
• spiritual or religious beliefs
• fun hobbies and leisure pursuits
• healthy self-esteem

BENEFITS

It improve ’s your brain health, help manage weight, reduce the risk of disease, strengthen
bones and muscles, and improve your ability to do everyday activities. Adults who sit less
and do any amount of moderate-to-vigorous physical activity gain some health benefits.

In last I would like to say that we all should play some sport or do some kind of
physical activity daily for at least 30 min in order to keep ourself fit .
