Calculations From Moles To Mass and Vice Versa: Lesson 6.4
Calculations From Moles To Mass and Vice Versa: Lesson 6.4
General Chemistry 1
Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics
Chemical reactions occur around us. Some occur naturally,
while others are man-made.
2
The amount of
reactant and products
must be determined in
certain processes such
as the manufacturing
of medicine or
extraction of valuable
minerals from ores.
3
Recall that chemical
reactions involve the
rearrangement of
atoms, and that atoms
are so minuscule that
one gram of a
substance may
contain billions of
these atoms.
4
In the previous lessons, we learned about the unit mole
and how it can be related to the number of particles, and to
the mass of the substance. In this lesson, we will learn how
to convert moles to mass, and vice versa.
5
What is the relationship
between mole and mass?
