goods and services. Thus it deals with managing process of
conversion of inputs into outputs.
● Production & operations management is defined as the design,
operation, and improvement of the systems that create and
deliver the firm’s primary products and services.
● Production & operations management is the set of inter-related
activities for producing goods or providing services.

terms due to only one reason i.e. output is different, either good
