nonfiction text:

● Is the text organized, and does it transition smoothly


from one idea to the next?
● Is the text clear and comprehensible for readers?
● Does the text contain factual and relevant
information?
● Is the text written in a creative and interesting
manner?

● Use transitional devices and logical connectors.


● Use repetition of keywords and phrases.
● Use pronouns to refer to preceding nouns.
● Use parallel structures to express similar ideas.
● Use synonyms to link ideas and create variety.

● Elements of fictional or nonfictional used to write


creative nonfiction can be used in a variety of ways.
● Proficient understanding and mastery of these
elements are necessary for the creative use of these
elements.
● Writers are expected to have read numerous literary
works and to have continuously practiced writing as
integrating the elements can be challenging.
