RESULTS AND DISCUSSION

As shown in table 1, students aged 17 years old got the highest frequency of 17 or 51.52%, students
age 18 years old got a frequency of 11 or 33.33%, percent and also the students aged 19 had a frequency
of 2 or 6.06% and 20 years old got the result with the frequency of 3 or 9.09% percent out of 33
respondents.
 
As shown in Table 1 in terms of Gender, the result of the survey shows that most of our respondents
are Female with a frequency of 20 or 61%. While the gender in terms of Male respondents had 13
frequency or 39%
 
As shown in Table 1 in terms of Strand, 14 students in the HUMSS received the highest frequency of
14 or 42% followed by TVL with a frequency of 12 or 36%. And the students in GAS with a frequency of
5 or 15%. students in ABM with a frequency of 2 or 6%

Therefore, Based on the findings gathered most of the grade 12 HUMSS students are 17 years old
and female that uses tablets more.

Based on the findings gathered that 18 or 54.55% of the students indicated that
they use a tablet for every discussion, while 29 or 87.88% of the students indicated that
they are using tablets for every activity/assignment. And 5 or 15.15% of them stated
that they are using tablets every vacant. Moreover, the frequency with 2 or 6.06% of
students indicated that they are using tablets every recess/lunch And 10 or 30.30% of
students indicated that they use tablets every night. With a frequency of 3 or 6.06% of
students stated that they use tablets every Friday

Therefore, based on the findings gathered that most of the student uses their tablet
for every activity/assignment to support their learning. According to Sharishna
Narayan, Som Naidu (2020) indicated that more than 80% of the students were
comfortable or very comfortable with using a tablet to support their learning Further
analysis of the survey questions revealed that more than 80% of the students were able
to complete their assignments with the use of their tablets. So, it concludes that
students use tablets inside the classroom to do their assignments better.

Table 3 shows the effects of using tablets on academic
performance. Based on findings gathered that the effect
of tablets on their academic performance has increased
due to easier access to information and easier mostly
answering yes which had a frequency of 26 or 78.79%. On
the other hand, they also use a tablet to make reports
that teachers make using PowerPoint, Word, or
Spreadsheets with a frequency of 25 or 75.76%. It also
appears that, with the help of the tablet, they can now
save their lessons offline so that they can read ahead to
their lesson and no longer need to bring a book to school
with a frequency of 24 or 72.73%.

RECOMMENDATION
CONCLUSION
 1. Females between the ages of 17 years old use tablets more to support their learning to help them improve

their academic performance.

 2. The students were able to complete their assignments with the use of their tablets. They spend more time

on the tablet to complete the activities. So, it concludes that students use tablets inside the classroom to do

their assignments better other tasks assigned to them by the teachers.

 3. The use of tablets in education provides students to obtain more useful information, to help increase

academic performance in students and another educational system that makes education convenient.

the students can also save the module to the tablet in order to keep up with the lesson or discussion.
RECOMMENDATION
1. The researchers encourage students to also use their tablets to support their studies and thus be more

motivated to learn and do schoolwork.

2. Students should not just use a tablet for every activity and assignment because it is given to us so that

we can be more active in school and help their learning. Therefore, the tablet should also be used in

discussions at night, during vacant hours, and at any time because every minute and hour is important

3. Students must continue to use tablets to do their activities for it’s a big help for them to improve their

academic performance.
