Yunus ibn Matta. Bukhari
Mistakes do not make us less of a person
Praising Allah first
Agree to your mistakes
He never asked, “O Allah save me”
Why?
The forgiveness of Allah was more important than
being saved in this duniyah.
The reason for being in this situation is because of
ones mistake. It is mor eimportant to get forgiven
than to get one’s request.
What Allah thinks of us should matter the most to us
He used the best words!
◦ The most superior form of dhikr is [the statement], La ilaha illal Allah and the most superior
supplication is 'alhamdulillah. Ibn Majah
◦ The invocation of my brother Dhli-n-Nlan, "None has the right to be worshipped save You; glory be to
You, far removed are You from any imperfection; I have been amongst the wrong-doers," none who is
experiencing difficulty employs it except that Allah would relieve him of his difficulty. Tirmidhi
◦ Reflect on the the way the Prophet’s asked Allah Pbut- Adam, Ayyub, Musa, Zakariyyah,
“No one says the dua of Yunus except that Allah will
answer Him”
Tirmidhi and Nasai

Every night, when their remains the last third of the

night, our Lord descends to the celestial heaven and
◦ Show desperation in your duas.
says: Who is supplicating to Me that I may respond ◦ Exaggerate e.g Zakariyah (as) – Bones weak
to him, who is asking of Me that I may grant him, and grey hair
who is seeking forgiveness that I may forgive him?'
Mistakes are
We are bound to make mistakes. When we
mistakes in their make a mistake we should turn to Allah.
hind sides and The mistakes that you do in your life should
are learning not dictate your future
experiences any
way you see it.
Allah does not need
Qaddar Allah
our Dawaah
Guidance is in the hands of Allah. – Allah His name got picked up- Accept the Qadr of
guided his people without Yunus (a.s) Allah - don’t be frustrated and disappointed
We are in Need of Allah, not Him- Allah knows
the things you need in your life. He want’s to see
you turn to Allah in your time of need
Do you feel like you're in a similar place?

◦ Yunus (a) constantly glorified Allah.

◦ "The whale can be seen as a jail where Yunus (a) could have ended up in
forever. Or as a rescue vehicle that rescued Yunus (a) from drowning and took
him safely to the shore."
◦ Tawbaah- Allah loves those who turn to Him
◦ Perhaps your darkest hour is your space for repentance so you can be delivered
safely to shore
