INTRODUCTION
• Kevin Ashton in 2000s by connecting RFID data to Internet for business reason.
• This items could speak with one another and be overseen by PCs.
• This sensors can utilize different sorts of neighborhood like RFID, NFC, Wi-Fi,
Bluetooth, etc.
• The Internet of Things (IoT) describes the network of physical objects
—“things”
—that are embedded with sensors, software, and other technologies for the
purpose of connecting and exchanging data with other devices and systems
over the internet. These devices range from ordinary household objects to
sophisticated industrial tools

HARDWARE
ARDIUNO
Arduino is an open-source
hardware and software company,
project, and user community that
designs and manufactures single-
board microcontrollers and
microcontroller kits for building
digital devices.
8
NODEMCU (esp8266)
NodeMCU is an open source
platform based on ESP8266 which
can connect objects and let data
transfer using the Wi-Fi protocol. In
addition, by providing some of the
most important features of
microcontrollers such as GPIO,
PWM, ADC and etc. it can solve
many of the project’s needs alone.
9
SOIL MOISTURE SENSOR
Soil moisture sensors measure the
water content in the soil and can be
used to estimate the amount of stored
water in the soil horizon. Soil moisture
sensors do not measure water in the
soil directly. Instead, they measure
changes in some other soil property
that is related to water content in a
predictable way.
10
RELAY MODULE
They are the link between low-
powered digital electronics and
high-powered devices. They allow
digital circuits and digital
microcontrollers to switch high-
powered devices on and off.

BENEFITS
• Increase of production
• Conservation of water
• Lowered operation cost
• Quality of production
• Improved livestock farming
• Remote and equipment monitoring
14
FUTURE SCOPE
• the longer term plan aspects of this model are always made into an
intelligent system, where in the system predicts user actions, rainfall
pattern, time to reap and much of more features which may make the
system not to depend on human operation
• Future the system can be included with more number of sensors like
metal and sound sensors in order to make the agricultural field
intrusion free.
15
CONCLUSION
• With greater headway in the field of IoT expected in the coming years,
these frameworks can be increasingly productive, a lot quicker and less
costly. And this can be started with our rural part of a country where
farming is the major source of income so by implementing this system
they can have a better and easy way to irrigate the soil.
