Scientific
Basis
The concept of facial recognition was considered
to be a mode of detecting COVID-19.
Whereas, it aims to store data of
the DNA Imprint of COVID-19 which will
then be programmed in the device. To
which, the device will find a match
of the stored template of the virus.
Research Objectives

To develop a device that can detect

COVID-19 through its DNA
Imprint.
To provide an early detection procedure which
will help lessen the spread of the virus.
Research Objectives

To create a device that can give faster and

more accurate results than Antigen testing.

To determine the significant difference

vs
between the DNA Imprint recognition
device and the Rapid Antigen Test in terms
of speed and accuracy of results
Review of Literature

• Rapid Antigen Test have been developed to

detect the virus promptly. However, it lacks
sensitivity when compared to RT-PCR, and because
of the higher possibility of false-negative results,
they are regarded an auxiliary to RT-PCR
tests. (Jendrny et al., 2020)
Review of Literature

• A fiber-optic biosensor called the Localized

Surface Plasmon Coupled Fluorescence detects 0.1 pg/mL
to 1 ng/mL SARS-CoV N protein in
serum samples using a sandwich immunoassay and
the LSP approach. To which it is
also capable of detecting COVID-19(Samson et al. 2020)
Review of Literature
• Transcription of imprinted genes shows a clear
circumstance in which epigenetic mechanisms limit
gene expression and, as such, provides a model for
understanding the role of DNA modifications and
chromatin structure in maintaining optimal
expression patterns (Pfeifer, 2000).
Review of Literature

• Machine learning is also better than physicians

at detecting small links between facial morphology
and genetic diseases.

• FRT may potentially be utilized to aid

in the earlier detection and treatment of
genetic problems (Wolf et al., 2016).
