 Multiplication without regrouping
Steps:
1. Multiply  the multiplicand by the number in ones place. Put a zero below in the
ones place.
2. Multiply the multiplicand by the number in tens place.
3. Add them up.

EXAMPLE

Alvin swims for 120 minutes a week. In

14 weeks, how many minutes will he be
swimming in all?
EXAMPLE 1: 120 𝑥 14=¿

partial product in tens place
