Our Concerns…

With an increase in mental

health dis-orders we are
concerned with mental
health especially in children
and young adults. Currently
access to music and art
programs is limited if at all
available. We believe that
these programs have the
potential to decrease mental
health issues by providing
an outlet for those affected.

Y.A.M. Slogan

You Are What You Create

When you create meaningful, beautiful

pieces of work, you will become
fulfilled and have a deeper sense of
meaning.

Students often focus on finding

themselves or what they want to do
with their future rather than creating
beauty and living in the moment. This
results in added stress and an excess
of negative emotions

When students focus on creating art

and utilizing the creative parts of
themselves, it is a natural coping
mechanism.
Target Audience of
Young Artful Minds

•Students who are currently or at risk developing

mental health issues.
•Students who are dealing with stress, anxiety,
depression or mood disorders, and those dealing
with trauma or challenging circumstances.
•Student who may not be going through
those issues but could benefit from
learning coping mechanisms, developing
resilience, and engaging in creative self-
expression to mitigate future issues.

•Organization must take into account the

different requirements of the student body
to ensure inclusivity for service benefits.
•Seek collaboration with institutions,
research centers, and various community
based organizations
