PROJECT BACKGROUND BACKGROUND

 Project was awarded to M/S NESPAK by Competent Authority dated

March 30, 2022.
 NESPAK submitted its final Proposal dated May 24, 2022 after detailed
discussion and meeting with Pak PWD.
 Consultancy Agreement was signed between Pak PWD and M/S
NESPAK dated June 24, 2022.
 In the mean time NESPAK Expert Team Visited the Project site and
conducted detail meetings with all stake holders.
 Master Plan was discussed and general approval was given by Deputy
Commander NHMP in a meeting conducted at Sheikhupura in last week
of June 2022.
 NESPAK submitted Preliminary Design Drawings as per CA dated July
01, 2022.
 Some changes/improvements were suggested in preliminary design by
XEN office which was incorporated in design.
 The improved concept design shall be discussed in this meeting for final
approval and onward proceeding.

 STORM WATER DRAINAGE

Rain water Harvesting system is not advisable in this area due to the following
reasons:

 Ground water table is about 30 to 40 feet from NSL in the Project Area, this
system shall have a very minimal effect of recharging the ground water table.

 A minimum of about 1.5 lacs gallons to 2 lacs gallons capacity Underground

water tank would be required which shall be very costly (about 35 to 40 million)

 A proper drainage system would cost ranging from 100 to 120 millions

 Maintenance issues, cleaning of drains and underground water tanks
