GRADE 10 EINSTEIN AND NEWTON
STUDENTS IN
LINANGKOB NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL
SCHOOL YEAR 2022-2023

I. BACKGROUND OF THE STUDY

Araling Panlipunan (AP) is a subject that is essential to


understand the social, cultural, and historical context of the
Philippines. It provides students with a comprehensive
understanding of country’s past, present and future. Araling
Panlipunan is one of the difficult subjects because of its
complexity. Students lack interest to this subject because they
cannot see the connection between what they are learning and
how to apply these things on their daily lives. This issue affects the
student’s academic performance; thus, the findings of this
research aim to help teachers identify students who need
intervention.
II. STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM

The performance in Araling Panlipunan of Grade10 Einstein and

Grade10 Newton student’s in Linangkob National High School (LNHS),

school year 2020-2023, is a concern that needs to be addressed. Students

lack of interest and engagement in the subject are some factors

contributing to poor academic performance. It is crucial to find solutions to

improve students learning outcomes in this subject.


III.SIGNIFICANCE OF THE STUDY

By conducting this research, the


researcher will be able to know who
among the students are struggling on the
subject and those who do not. The
researcher can also pinpoint those
students who need help on the subject.
IV. METHODOLOGY

a. Research Design
We used Documentary Analysis in conducting this mini
research.

b. Respondents
The respondents on this mini research are Grade 10
Einstein and Grade10 Newton of Linangkob National High
School school year 2022-2023. 
d. Statistical Treatment
 Mean- The mean is the sum of all values divided by the total
number of values.
 Percentile- a value on a scale of one hundred that indicates the
percent of a distribution that is equal to or below it.
 Percentile rank- the percentage of scores in its frequency
distribution that are less than that score.
