Definition
The world's fastest computer, a supercomputer can process large
amounts of data very quickly. A "supercomputer" has exceptionally
high computing performance when compared to a general-purpose
computer. Instead of using MIPS, a supercomputer's processing
performance is expressed in FLOPS, or floating-point operations per
3 second.
Types of Super Computers
The two broad categories of supercomputers:
general purpose supercomputers and special purpose
supercomputers.
