A partnership is a form of business
which enables two or more persons to
co-own an organization, and they agree
to share the profits and losses of the
company. Each member of such a
business is called a Partner.

Partners who doesn’t take part in the
day to day activities in the business are
called sleeping partners

A secret partners is one whose
association with the firm is
unknown to the general public

Partners by Estoppel

A person is considered a
partner by Estoppel if, through
his/her own initiative

-Conducts or behaviour,
he/she given an impression to
other that he/she are the
partner of the firm
Nominal partners
A person partners is one who
allows the use of his/her name
by the firm , but doesn’t
contribute in the capital
-Doesn’t contribute capital
-doesn’t participate in
management
-doesn’t shares profit/loss

PARTNERS BY HOLDING OUT
A person who is not a partners of the
firm but knowingly allows himself to
the represented
as a partners in the firm

Minor partners
A minor partner can be
admitted to share the profit
of the firm but cant be
asked for the contribution
of capital Or bear the loss
incurred by the business
