and Skill-Related Fitness)
What is Health-and Skill Related Fitness?
Skill Related Fitness helps people learn skills and consists of components
that are important in skillful activities and athletic events.
Health Related Fitness involves activities that you do in order to improve
your physical health and stay healthy.
Skill Related Fitness
• Ability of an
individual to
quickly shift or
change direction
of body from one
point to the other.
POWER
• Ability to perform
one maximum
effort in the
shortest possible
time. It is the
product of both
strength and speed.
BALANCE
• Ability to stay in
equilibrium in
relation to
changes in body
position.
Reaction Time
• Amount of time
it takes to
respond to a
stimulus.
Coordination
• The integration
with hand / or foot
movements with
the input of the
senses
Health Related Fitness
• Related to how well the system of our body work. It
refers to our body condition.
• the muscle’s
ability to
produce effort to
perform work
Flexibility
• The ability of
muscles and joints
to go through a
full range of
motion.
Body Composition
• Refers to proportion
of lean body mass to
fat body mass.
Lesson 2: Introduction to
Running
• Track Events Often involve a field or a running track
of varying measurements. Their typically held in a 400-meter
track.

Lesson 3: Introduction to
Rhythmic Gymnastic
• Rhythmic Gymnastics is a sport in which individuals or group of five
manipulate one or two pieces of apparatus : rope, hoop, ball, clubs,
and ribbon, or freehand.
• It is a sport that combines elements of ballet, gymnastics, dance, and
apparatus manipulation.
Apparatus Used in Rhythmic
Gymnastics
• Ball – Either made out of rubber or plastic. Ranges between 18 to 20cm in
diameter and must have a minimum weight of 400g.
• Hoop- May be made of plastic or wood, must have a diameter of 80 to 90 cm
and minimum weigh of 300g.
• Rope- Made of hem and is knotted in each end. The height of the gymnast
deter at mines of length of rope.
• Clubs-Made of wood or plastics, resemble bowling pins. 15 0 g minimum
weight,
• Ribbon- a 7m strip of satin ribbon attached to a wooden stick. Holding the
stick, the gymnast must keep the ribbon in constant motion throughout her
routine.
