INTRODUCTION:- Operator training program has drawn much attention and management support in many companies.

The reason is simple operator training program has able to establish clear linkage with productivity, quality, creativity customer delight and profit. Indian textile and garment industry is one of the major industries in India contributing to exports now a days success of the industry depends upon the infrastructure, efficient manpower, effective sourcing and buyers demands like following compliances factors. Demand for quality is the for most requirement of the buyers demand of quality can be meant by a trained work force.

OPERATOR TRAINING PROGRAMME

MEANING OF TRAINING
Training of operators means providing them the necessary facilities and opportunities to acquire knowledge, develop skills and cultivate attitudes, behavior and habits for the efficient and effective discharge of their duties and responsibilities

EFFECT OF TRAINING
Proper work culture. Proper practice and work method adopted by workers. Motivation and positive attitudes among the workers.

OBJECTIVES
To establish training objectives for the organization. To test the contents of a training program or a group of operators. To compile the program in a form of a training manual. To device a system for training operators at fresher and refresher level, in various subjects areas.

METHDOLOGY
Indentifying the need of training for fresher. Study of existing method of training. Observation and data collection. Having understood the above , we developed or recruit the training schedule for training the operator and implemented the same with the help of supervision. i. high rate of rejection ii. Day 1 :- A guided plan that helps new employees adjust to company .Interaction between co workers . Tell about company , salary, disipline,health and safety, rule and regulation of company. Sewing m/c parts :-head pulley, needle bar and needle, presser foot feed dog ,m/c bed, through plate. M/c maintenance Cleaning of the m/c Day 2 :-Thread control , needle placement , changing needle , setting bobbin,

Day 3 :- paper exercise and rough fabric exercise Day 4.:-repeat previous exerciser. Day 5 :-Different type of seam , and over lock , curve stitching, zigzag and triangle stitching complete threading stitching. Stitching on fabric for 5 days Day 10 to 15:- skills allocation for basic mens shirts(cuff ,collar/front back/sleeve/yoke
Training has to be given in a separate area, away from the production floor. Training could be given to workers in the slack season to save or production time of the busy periods.

RESULTS
Increase productivity. Reduce delays in every stage of production.

Better quality. If we give the training to the operators they do their own work at right time and with right methods Shipment will be at time.
