CONCEPT

The home automation system finds relevance in today’s world more than ever. This system helps users ensure the safety
and security of the house from a remote location in a very convenient manner. This system incorporates, a large number
of sensors that is the backbone of the system
LITERATURE SURVEY

By 2012, in the United States, according to ABI Research, 1.5 million home automation systems were
installed.

First generation: wireless technology with proxy server, e.g. ZigBee automation;

Second generation: artificial intelligence controls electrical devices, e.g. Amazon Echo;

Third generation: robot buddy who interacts with humans, e.g. Robot Rovio, Roomba.

PROBLEM DEFINATION

• Home Automation is used to control home appliances using computer technology using
microcontrollers (Arduino) to turn ON/OFF any home appliance from a remote location as well as
from home.

• It ensures safety by stating the current condition of any appliance (ON/OFF) and taking corrective
measures.

• It is also convenient for the user to switch ON/OFF any appliance sitting at home using mobile or
