Begin!
Read how the girl talks to God.
Lord, Please forgive me. I got in a
quarrel with my best friend this
morning. I became very angry, so I said
some hurtful things. I did not mean to
do it. I apologized to him, but he still
feels bad. I promise to make it up to
him. I will not to do that again.
Thank you for your blessings. Thank
You for always keeping me and my
family safe.
Think About It!

What are the things that the girl

prayed for?
Do you also pray to God? What do you
pray for?
What is prayer?
• A prayer is what a person tells God.
Praying is a way of talking directly to
God.
• People pray to God in different ways. A
person can pray alone or with other
people. Praying can be done silently. It
can be done by singing songs of worship.
• When you pray, you can tell about what
happened to your day. You can say what
makes you feel bad. You can thank Him
for His blessings. You can also wish for
good things that you want to happen.
Whatever you say in your prayer, God
will listen.
Where do people pray?
There are many places where people can
pray. Churches, Chapels, Mosques, and
Temples are some of them. They are
considered the houses of God. But you can
pray anywhere. You can pray at home or in
school.
The churches where people can pray.
You and your friend can pray at different
places of worship. Each of you can follow
different practices of worshipping God.
Even if you and your friend pray at
different places, or have different
practices, you can still be friends. What
matters is that you respect each other’s
way of praying to God.
