Relevant provisions:

 FEBF & GI Act, 1969

 Amended Act. No. XXV of 1975.
 Ordinance XLIX of 1980 and
 Ordinance No. VI of 1988.
Application:
(i) Act applies to all civil servants including ---------
NA ,The Senate,SC,EC.
(ii) Autonomous bodies and other organisations
notified by FG
(iii) Deputation elsewhere on foreign service------FR
(iv) On foreign training
(v) On leave
(vi) Under suspension.
Exception:
(a). Railways employee
(b). Over 60 years
(c). Employee of Province on deputation
to
FG.
Family:
(a). Wife or Wives and Husband of an
employee.
(b). Legitimate children, parents, minor
brothers, unmarried, divorced or widowed,
sisters of the employee wholly dependent
upon him.

Pay:
‘Pay’ includes emoluments ,which reckon for
pension.
Grants from benevolent fund:
(a). Education:
Free professional education for the children of
employees/retired/deceased in
medical ,engineering ,I.T and business studies in the
following
 QAU universities.  NUST
 AIR
 COMSAT  BAHRIA

 NUML
and other public sectors institutions approved by HEC
Admission on merit and facility for whole program.

(b).Scholarships:
CAT Numbers RS.

1.Professionals 70% 20,000

(Pub and pvt inst)

2. Masters 80% 15,000

3. Graduation 80% 12,000
4. Intermediate 80% 10,000
(c). Marriage:
RS 50,000 for only one child.

(d). Farewell:
One month pay at retirement
after 25 years.
(e).Disability (during service):
At 80% disability monthly grant
from Rs. 4,000 to 10,100 for life.
(f). For Family of deceased:
Death till the age of 70 years monthly grant
to the widow from Rs 4,000 to 10,100 for
life.
This facility is available to a family member
other than widow for 15 years or till the age
of 70 years of deceased which over is
earlier.
(e). Burial charges:
Rs.10,000 to the family of deceased at
his death till the age of 70 years.
Group Insurance:
Defination:
Payment of insured amount:
1.In case of 80% disability in service an
amount of rupees 57,500 to 2,60,000 is
paid to a disable employee.
2.In case of in service death an amount of
rupees 1,31,000 to 7,00000 is paid to
the family of deceased employee.
Documents to be submitted with
claim:
1.Copy of LPC
2.Photocopy of service book
3.Three copies of death certificate
4.Departmental order/notification
5.Nomination
6.List of family members
7.Wholly dependence certificate by the
head of department.
8. Four copies of photographs of
nominee
9. Four signatures/thumb impressions
10. In case of disability copy of the medical
board proceeding.
11. Copy of CNIC beneficiary
