MODULE 3:LESSON 1
Outdoor recreation refers to
leisure activities that take place
in a natural setting and benefit
the body, mind,
spirit,economical, and socal.
PHYSICAL HEALTH BENEFITS:
Being outdoors allow you to move your
body freely. You have a lot of activities to
choose from-
walking,running,jogging,biking,
swimming,boating and the like. If you are
stuck to gadget now, put it down. You are
having a sedentary life but it is never too
late to start right.
PSYCHO EMOTIONAL BENEFITS:
This is where your answers comes in-fun
doing outdoor recreational activities allows
you to relax and feel renewed. Looking
at the green environment makes you feel
good and helps reduce stress.
SOCIAL BENEFITS:
Doing outdoor activities allows you to have
a strong family bondingand to meet other
people. Say “Hi” and “Hello” to the people
you meet is a good start of having new
friends and it helps develop community
ECONOMIC BENEFITS:
When you are a lot a relax mood, you tend
to love to work and become efficient and
productive in your work place. In addition,
recreational actvities create more jobs and
economic activities, thus contributing to
economic growth of your community.
SPRITUAL BENEFITS:
Close your eyes feel the cool breeze of
nature. It bring certain calmness in you. It
heals and soothes yourbody and soul.
ACTIVITY 2:
Visit any places that may refresh your body and mind. List down the activities that you are doing
from Friday to Sunday. Categorized it into physical,psycho emotional,social,economic and
spiritual.
