    BICYCLE

BY: EASHMAN
History The first bicycle was made in 1817, 205 years ago!! It was
invented by a man named Karl Von Drais. He named it
"Swift Walker". Bicycles have been around for very long
time but it became more popular in the 1880s. People used
it for transportation to get to school, work, a friend's house
or even just for fun. The early bicycles were around
$125.00 but their price has gone down as they became
more mainstream. Bicycles come in a variety of different
colours and prints.
Environ- Transporting in a bicycle has a good impact on the
environment. Riding a bicycle uses minimal fossil fuels
and produces no pollution. In contrast to other

mental transportation vehicles for example cars and busses which

produce a lot of pollution. To ride a bicycle you do not

Impact  need a lot of space which means we do not have to cut

trees to make roads. If transportation with bicycle
increases, there will be more trees which is good for the
environment.
Access Accessing a bicycle is very easy. Its sold in a bunch of
stores and you can park it inside your house or outside and
take it whenever you want as long as the tires are filled
with air. The only thing you would have to consider is if its
snowing. Its difficult to ride a bike if its snowing but
depending on your tires and how much snow there is, it is
possible to ride a bike while its snowing.
Cost The average bicycle cost somewhere around 100 to 200
dollars but that can be lower if you get a used bicycle. It
would cost nothing for you to use it on a weekly basis
because you do not have to get it filled with gas. You do
however have to fill the tires with air which you can do
with an air pump. The average pump costs about 10-15
dollars. Whenever your bicycle tires lose air just grab your
air pump and fill it with air. You are good to go.
Impact If someone were to use a bicycle to transport it would
benefit their health. Because bike riding is a form of
physical activity which improves your health. I will list the
personal benefits. Muscle Strength, decreased body fat,
improves your posture. Drawbacks of bike riding include it
is relatively more slow than a car or bus. You cannot  ride a
bike in every weather. In areas with more traffic or at night
riding a bike would not be that safe compared to other
options.
