• There are 5 love languages that people

naturally respond to and there are certain

languages that don’t appeal to some
individuals

• we all have an idea of how we want be

loved in the best way possible.. there
is something that communicates
“Love” best for us.
• WORDS OF AFFIRMATION
• GIFTS
• QUALITY TIME
• ACTS OF SERVICE
• PHYSIAL TOUCH
God also has ways in which love is communicated
best to him. But we often want to love him on our
own terms and standards.

Mathew 15:7-8
You pretenders (hypocrites)! Admirably and truly
did Isaiah prophesy of you when he said:
These people draw near Me with their mouths and
honor Me with their lips, but their hearts hold off
and are far away from Me.
WORSHIP/
SACRIFIC
E
Worship is about giving all
yourself…..
Romans 12:1-2
1
I APPEAL to you therefore, brethren, and beg of
you in view of [all] the mercies of God, to make a
decisive dedication of your bodies [presenting all
your members and faculties] as a living sacrifice,
holy (devoted, consecrated) and well pleasing to
God, which is your reasonable (rational,
intelligent) service and spiritual worship.
(Amplified version)
Mark 12:30
And you shall love the Lord your God out of
and with your whole heart and out of and
with all your soul (your life) and out of and
with all your mind (with your faculty of
thought and your moral understanding)
and out of and with all your strength. This
is the first and principal commandment
OBEDIEN
CE
OBEDIENCE is a big deal to God

John 14 :5
if you [really] love Me, you will keep (obey)
My commands.

Mathew 7:21
Not everyone who says to Me, Lord, Lord, will enter
the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of
My Father Who is in heaven.
Again here we see that it’s not about
what you say but what you do. Obeying
him is proof of your love for him….

In 1 Samuel 15:22 …we see yet another

expression of how God prefers
Obedience….
Spending
time
James 4:8
Come close to God and He will
come close to you……

We see on multiple occasions that

Jesus went to solitary places and
spent personal times with God….

Mathew 14:23
Mark 6:46
Luke 6:12
Mark 1:35
Luke 5:16
Luke 9:18
Mathew 26:36

Intimacy is Developed in
private …. most of us only spend
time with God when we are with
fellow believers…
Knowing
him
Proverbs 8:17
I love those who love me, and those
who seek me early and diligently
shall find me.

God has revealed himself to us and

has made it possible for us to know
him, Through his word….
John 17:3
And this is eternal life: [it means] to know (to
perceive, recognize, become acquainted
with, and understand) You, the only true and
real God, and [likewise] to know Him, Jesus
[as the] Christ (the Anointed One, the
Messiah), Whom You have sent.

He is the word, when we know the word

we know him.
SERVING
Joshua 22:5
But take diligent heed to do the commandment
and the law which Moses the servant of the Lord
charged you: to love the Lord your God and to
walk in all His ways and to keep His
commandments and to cling to and unite with
Him and to serve Him with all your heart and
soul [your very life].
Philipians 2:7-8
But stripped Himself [of all privileges and rightful
dignity], so as to assume the guise of a servant
(slave), in that He became like men and was born a
human being.
Php 2:8 And after He had appeared in human form,
He abased and humbled Himself [still further] and
carried His obedience to the extreme of death, even
the death of the cross!

In the kingdom the way up is down… we must be

humble to serve
Love God in the
languages he
wants to be loved
in.
