R9 Lohmar picking and packing instruction

Key info
 Lohmar warehouse is split into 2 areas: high rack and pallet
High rack is fully automated area, managed by external system (BEA)
Pallet area is managed via EWM

 BEA system is used:

For production (MTO)
For picking of parts stored within high rack area

 There will be interface developed between S4 and BEA to reflect picking / packing
and manufacturing activities (production execution)

 There are additional instruction needed for packing (also for production) and picking
Operator is notified during picking / packing how goods should be packed,
what is the right quantity, the type of the package
 The instruction should be visible in BEA and EWM
- for BEA – sales order , outbound delivery
- for EWM – outbound delivery

 Instruction type vs. SAP text fields
 Instruction are defined for:
 Customer
 Customer / material combination
 Material
 System-wise following fields will be used:
  Z102 (Dlv Output Hd Txt) to be used to add the required info on the customers, so that they get
picked up on to the sales orders and delivery
  Z999 (Customer Material Info Record) text will fetch the customer material info record on to the sales
order and delivery. This customer material info record is maintained in the VD53 transaction for a
particular customer, material and a sales organization.
 There is not any available text fields now on material master level that is:
 Plant specific
 Visible in sales order and outbound delivery
