How to help the friend with his dilemma

If he insists, leave him

ُ‫َأنت تُ ْك ِره‬
َ َ‫ض ُكلُّ ُه ْم مَج ًيعا ۚ َأف‬ ْ ‫ك آَل َم َن َمن يِف‬
ِ ‫اَأْلر‬ َ ُّ‫َولَ ْو َشاءَ َرب‬ ● Keep caring for him, as he is a friend.
‫ني‬ ِِ
َ ‫َّاس َحىَّت ٰ يَ ُكونُوا ُمْؤ من‬
َ ‫الن‬
“And had your Lord willed, those on earth
would have believed - all of them entirely. Then,
[O Muhammad], would you compel the people
in order that they become believers?” - 10:99
Dalil
ِ ِ‫انفصام هَل ا ۗ واللَّه مَس‬
ِ ِ ِ ِ ِ ِ ِ ُّ ‫اَل ِإ ْكراه يِف الدِّي ِن ۖ قَد تَّبنَّي‬
‫يم‬ ٌ ُ َ َ َ َ ‫ك بِالْعُْرَوة الْ ُوْث َق ٰى اَل‬
ٌ ‫يع َعل‬ ْ ‫الر ْش ُد م َن الْغَ ِّي ۚ فَ َمن يَ ْك ُف ْر بِالطَّاغُوت َويُْؤ من بِاللَّه َف َقد‬
َ ‫استَ ْم َس‬ ََ ََ
“There shall be no compulsion in [acceptance of] the religion. The right course has become clear from the wrong. So whoever disbelieves in Taghut and believes in
Allah has grasped the most trustworthy handhold with no break in it. And Allah is Hearing and Knowing.” - 2:256

ِ ِ ِ ِ ‫يِف‬ ِ ِ ِ
َ ‫َوَمن َيْبتَ ِغ َغْيَر اِإْل ْساَل م دينًا َفلَن يُ ْقبَ َل مْنهُ َوُه َو اآْل خَرة م َن اخْلَاس ِر‬
‫ين‬

Dalil

‫صْي ِط ٍر‬ ‫مِب‬


َ ُ ‫ت َعلَْي ِهم‬
َ ‫لَّ ْس‬ 0 َ ‫فَ َذ ِّك ْر ِإمَّنَا‬
‫َأنت ُم َذ ِّكٌر‬
“So remind, [O Muhammad]; you are only a reminder. You are not over them a controller.” 88:21-22

ِِ ُّ ِ‫وه ْم َوُت ْق ِسطُوا ِإلَْي ِه ْم ۚ ِإ َّن اللَّهَ حُي‬ ِ ِ ِ َّ


‫ني‬
َ ‫ب الْ ُم ْقسط‬ ُ ‫ين مَلْ يُ َقاتلُوُك ْم يِف الدِّي ِن َومَلْ خُيْ ِر ُجوُكم ِّمن ديَا ِرُك ْم َأن َتَبُّر‬
َ ‫اَّل َيْن َها ُك ُم اللَّهُ َع ِن الذ‬
“Allah does not forbid you from those who do not fight you because of religion and do not expel you from your homes - from being righteous toward them and acting
justly toward them. Indeed, Allah loves those who act justly.” - 60:8
