Introduction
A hospital is a health care institution
providing patient treatment with specialized
health science and auxiliary healthcare
staff and medical equipment.
Small private hospital generally provide
outpatient services, but some may have a
few inpatient beds and a limited range of
services that may otherwise be found in
typical general or Govt. hospitals.

 Aims & Objective
 In order to (i) inspect the quality of patient care and (ii) ability of
the management of optimum utilization of the resources and
facilities.
 Acquiring an idea about hospital and its role in health care
delivery system regarding whether the aseptic condition ,
cleanliness, ideal condition of hospital are maintained or not.
 Acquiring an understanding of the complex nature of health and
hospital administration and to the antagonizing and synergizing
variables towards the role performance of the hospitals.
 Is oriented to principles of research methodology.
 Acquiring skills in educating medical and paramedical
professionals.
 Acquiring skills in effectively communicating with the person,
family and the community.

 The hospital is located in quite a
crowded area and is very popular
among the local clients. There are
also few clinic & private hospital
around it. So the outside enviroment
of the hospital is not that quiet
satisfactory.
 So people & patients often found
them in a bunch of problem during

 But availability of medicine &
pharmaceutical shop on the
ground floor help the patients to
get emergency medicine &
essential medical material.
 As the hospital is located just the

HOSPITAL , shifting of patient to
there in any emergency or
special case are done quit
comfortably.
 The hospital has 4 ambulance of
it’s own to carrying the

Upstairs & Elevator system
• 2 Dustbin are placed on the
staircase to throw out the dirty
stuff.
• Though the hospital is at the
2nd & 3rd floor, it has no
elevator system to rise up &
going down in emergency case
for patient.
• Upstairs are very narrow to
carry a patient.
• No alternative or emergency
staircase for ejection in
emergency case.

Reception Center
• Sufficient seat is available for
vistors.
• One of the great things is
availability of pure drinking
water provided with filter but
drinking utensil is made of
plastic which is quiet
unhygenic to drink with.
• Behaviour of the staff & nurse
was very polite.
• Consultation room with
specialized doctor.

• Hospital has about
total 35 bed for
patient, 6 cabin with
multiple bed (5 in
each) and 5 cabin
with single bed in
each.
• Male & female cabin
are separate for cabin
with multiple bed.

Though the cabin with single
bed has attached toilet system
for the patient, but for the
cabin having multiple bed don’t
have any toilet in the cabin.
So the patients many often
face some serious problem.
On the other hand as the toilet
available for them is also used
as the public toilet; Condition
of these toilet become very
unusable for the patients
because of overuse of these
toilet.

Organisation of care

Proper organization of care helps maintain the rules of

asepsis and decreases the risk of contamination of the wound
or transmission of organisms from one patient to another:
• Every room including dressing room, OT, Cabin, reception
room, which are kept cleaned and the waste are removed
every day.
• The dressing table & patient stretcher are disinfected after
each dressing & operation procedure are completed.
• Clean, disinfected dressing trolley ,container for
contaminated instruments, sharps disposal container and a
container or garbage bag for waste are used.

The objective of dressing
wounds is to promote healing.
The procedure includes
cleaning, disinfection and
protection of the wound while
respecting the rules of hygiene.

Limitation of OT
Factors causing surgical site infection are multifarious. Several
studies have identified the main patient-related (endogenous
risk factors) and procedure-related (external risk factors)
factors. The rate of surgical wound infections is strongly
influenced by operating theatre quality, too. A safe and
salubrious operating theatre is an environment in which all
sources of pollution and any micro-environmental alterations
are kept strictly under control.

Patients implicitly trust their surgeons to treat postoperative

complications as they arise. Although patients may buy-in to
some additional postoperative interventions, they hold a broad
range of preferences for treatment limitations.

As the Hospital lack a ICU unit, so there should have some

extra care equipment availability in the OT which are not
present. For ex:

science primarily concerning the
cause, origin, and nature of disease.
It involves the examination of
tissues, organs, bodily fluids, and
autopsies in order to study and

Conclusion
• The hospital which we visited the last October 20 was
a big day for us. It’s a private hospital and the
behaviour of their stuffs were amazing. They not only
co- operated us but also helped to find the findings
and lackings due to their financial supporters.
• Though It's a small private hospital but their
management system is so well decorated and the
database is also strong enough to serve the patients.
Overall due to their some instrumental lackings, they
are still try to do their best service for general public.
